Cyber Summer Camp in Review

About the Cybersecurity Camp

This four-week program is designed to teach students, grades k-12, the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Students will learn the basics of networking and some commonly exploited vulnerabilities.

The program will cover a survey of open-source reconnaissance as well as tools used for testing/attacking systems. Students will be introduced to the basics of cryptography as well as steganography (hiding messages inside other messages).  Participating students will perform some attacks against services (such as web server) set up in the Cybersecurity Engineering Lab (CybEL) and will learn the complete life-cycle of cyber-attacks through exercises and challenges.

The 2022 Cybersecurity Summer Camp includes classroom instruction, books, and materials.
